  • Is Insurance Offered As A Shipping Add-On Option?
    As the shipping industry grows to lifestyle changes, Chase Lobster Company strongly suggests adding Shipping Insurance to help ease the refund or replacement process for delayed, lost or damaged packages. This is a proactive response to ensure your order is protected. A delayed package means an Overnight package that was not delivered on the requested delivery date. Having a delay due to incorrect or incomplete address and recipient unavailable at time of delivery is not covered. Lost or Stolen packages please allow 24 hours from time of reported issue for a courier follow up. Damaged packages please contact us upon receipt via email or text with photos included of the damaged package and or product.   • How Do I Boil Jonah Crabs?
    Boiling Jonah Crabs 1.Get your Pot or Kettle. Large cooking pots with tall sides work best. You’re going to want to leave space on the top of the pot/kettle for the movement of the crab, so they don’t knock the cover off. 2. Add water. Fill your pot/kettle 2/3 full of water, add salt and any other seasoning you desire. 3. Boil. Bring water to a full boil. Carefully add the whole crab to the water one to a time. Cover and start timing immediately. 4. Cooking time. Cook the crabs around 15 minutes. Check them around 10 minutes, sometimes they can cook faster depending on what you’re using as a heat source. 4. Remove. Once done remove the crabs from the water and let cool for a few minutes before eating.
  • What is the green I see on my meat?
    The “green stuff” that can be found in cooked lobster is tomalley, which serves as the pancreas and liver. Some consider it a delicacy. 
  • How Do I Cook A Lobster?
    Cooking tips Boiling Lobster is easy, clean and quick 1. Get a Pot or Kettle. Your pot/kettle should be big enough to hold your lobster. A 4- to 5- gallon pot can handle 6 to 8 pounds of lobster. 2. ADD WATER. Add salt to your water in the bottom of the pot – about 3 quarts per 1.5-2 pounds of lobster. 3. BOIL. Bring the water to a rolling boil and add your live lobsters one at a time. Cover and start timing immediately. Follow the cook times below! 4. REMOVE. Once done, take the lobsters out and let them rest for 5 minutes or so to allow the meat to absorb the moisture in the shell. Cooking Times 1.25 lbs 1.5 lbs 2 lbs 9-10 mins 11-12 mins 15 mins
  • When should I cook my lobster?
    We advise you to cook your lobsters the same day you receive them. However, if you keep them in the refrigerator, they should keep an extra day. Please understand that if you wish to keep your lobsters alive until the following day, you are doing so at your own risk.  We cannot guarantee survival of lobsters past their delivery date.
  • How do I get my tracking number?
    Check your email inbox. Chase Lobster Co. will email you the tracking number on the evening your order has shipped. 
  • Is there a season for lobster fishing?
    No there is not a season in Maine. We fish year-round but have peak months which are usually October to December.
  • When should I place my order?
    Place your order as soon as possible. We accept orders until 12 pm est and guarantee they will be shipped overnight and, on your doorstep, the next day.
  • Can I leave my lobster in packaging overnight?
    Never let live lobsters rest in fresh water from melted ice as this can cause osmotic shock, suffocation and death

Being the highest, we measure every lobster. We also return to the waters any that is under the measure and lobsters with a V-notch or carrying eggs.  The v-notch means another fisherman caught the lobster when it was carrying eggs and returned it to the waters.
